This international event, held annually since 2014, gathers thought leaders and innovators to explore new technologies and services for smart cities. The theme this year, “Creating a ‘Meta-Comfort’ Smart Society,” highlights solutions for sustainable, livable urban futures.
The Expo is renowned for its role in fostering business exchanges between local governments, private enterprises, and international innovators. In 2023, the event drew 12,500 attendees and 112 exhibitors, with a robust business matching program that facilitated over 300 discussions aimed at fostering new collaborations. Alongside the main event, the Kyoto Foodtech Expo and Keihanna Business Messe will showcase innovations in food technology and local manufacturing.
Key global supporters include Cisco, Dassault Systèmes, and Accenture, reinforcing the Expo’s role as a premier platform for open innovation in the smart city space.
